Cops Bewildered As Couple Turn Up To Court (For Motoring Offences) In A Stolen Vehicle
You have got to be pretty ballsy to turn up to court in a stolen car, but that is precisely what a couple in South Australia did recently.
A post that was shared on the South Australia Police Facebook page said:
“A man and woman were arrested after turning up for court in a stolen car at Christies Beach yesterday.
“Police noticed the blue Holden sedan parked in a fast food car park near the Christies Beach Magistrates Court about 2 pm on Tuesday 30 July.
“Checks revealed the car had been stolen from Blakeview on 23 July.
“The alleged driver, a 34-year-old Whyalla man, had just attended court in relation to charges of illegal use of a motor vehicle.
“He and his passenger, a 23 -year-old Whyalla woman, were both arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle.
“The driver was also charged with driving while disqualified. He did not apply for bail and will reappear in court today.
“The woman was granted bail to attend the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 29 August, when, hopefully, she will catch the bus”.
