Why Is This Police Car Pink?

You may have seen an image of a pink Amelia County Sheriff’s Office Police vehicle on social media.

You might also be wondering why the car has been painted pink with multi-coloured jigsaw shapes on it.

And no; it’s not because the workshop decided to unleash their artistic side on the vehicle.

It has instead been painted pink to raise awareness of autism.

The image was first uploaded to the internet back in 2017 but it has started doing the rounds again with some people moaning about the awareness campaign.

But most decent-minded people ‘get it’ and can see the benefits of having a police car livered in such a way so as to encourage vulnerable members of the community to interact with the cops.
